Who We Are?

Our Mission is to

become a community-guided organization that works collaboratively with other components of the community. The organization will explore strategies for assessing, identifying, and using resources which are available to the community from external and internal sources. Overall, the mission is to help improve the quality of life for Utica area citizens.

Vision Statement:

Friends of Utica, Inc., envisions Utica’s vast acreage of land, trees, ad other natural resources developed into business and trade center, neighborhoods with single/multiple/elderly family dwellings, transportation routes, and parks which will nurture families and inspire citizen to become actively involved in educational, social, and economic change.

Ultimately, Utica area will be a place where:

Citizens center their values around family, promoting educational, social, and economic development in Utica.

Community pride is evident through beautification projects and active participation in service initiatives.

Opportunities for education, job training, cultural, religious, and recreational activities foster wholesome community relationships and drive economic development.
